Statistics show that, instead of CFL’s and regular light bulbs, and tube lights, if LED’s are used and substituted, then 21,000 MW of energy could be saved. Initial cost of production of LED’s is higher and its demand at present is quite low. If the usage of LED’s is encouraged and the government helps the manufacturers in lowering the cost of production of LED’s bulbs, then the demand of the LED’s could rise. As a result of that consequence, the energy used could get lowered.
